While it has only been a few days since Israel and Turkey signed the agreement to resume diplomatic ties, Turkey is not wasting time in bringing “humanitarian aid” to Hamas-controlled Gaza.

Pursuant to the reconciliation agreement between Israel and Turkey, a cargo ship from Turkey will on Sunday 27 Sivan, arrive in Israel with humanitarian equipment for Gaza.

The ship, Panama registry Lady Leyla arrived at the Port of Ashdod and after being inspected, its cargo will be shipped to Gaza. The vessel was carrying 11,000 tons of ‘humanitarian aid” in time for Id el-Fitr, which follows Ramadan.

In a related matter, relatives of MIA Sgt. Oren Shaul HY”D blocked the Kerem Shalom Crossing from S. Israel to Gaza on Sunday morning 27 Sivan in protest. They are demanding the return of the body of Oren before any additional aid is given to Gaza.

“Our son is somewhere on the other side of the border for two years. “Now, after the agreement with Turkey, we view everything as humanitarian and if this is so, why are so many trucks entering Gaza with goods and the body of my son is not returned” questioned Oren’s mother, Mrs. Zahava Shaul.
